Dash pad cover?

I've got a 92 mtx with the 1st generation black 50/50 interior and no pass side airbag. Does anyone know if the dash pad cover from a L or GL will fit? From the pictures I've seen they are the same except for the SHO badge, but the badge is seperate from the cover. I ask because I can find new covers for the "except SHO". Mine is really starting to crack. Of course the P/S is puking from somewhere, my strust/springs are shot, front seats are coming apart, sunroof will only go to up positsion, etc. But hey, I'm worried about the dash board!?! They are the same.

That's what I thought but every place that has them states "for non-SHO only". Anyone know why? Thanks, Kevin.

My guess is that dash covers for shos have the opening for the sensor for turning on the auto headlights. When i got mine for my 89 i had to specify it was for a sho for that exact purpose.

I don't know why they all differentiate SHOs since none of the SHO options make it have a unique dash. Every SHO option (dash wise) was available on regular Tauruses also.
