Hi, a couple of weeks ago I posted a problem where my IMRC was working perfect except at engine start instead of 3500 RPM. No physical breakdown could be found [pulley, cables etc]. Since annual state inspection is due I ordered a replacement. Wouldn't you know after this IMRC decides to work properly two days later. No codes, opening and closing at the proper speed. The only thing I can think is some moisture got into the IMRC and 'shorted' it, but obviously just a guess. Maybe somebody else can shed more light. Thanks

The runners may be sticking in the Bore.Try removing the intake and cleaning out the sludge from the runner plates. That got rid of my IMRC code.
