Damn POS

My tranny is screwed up. When I come to a stop it skips 2nd gear and drops in First gear. When I got off the Innerstate I turned the steering wheel left and the steering was more tight than normal. I dont know if I need a Tranny rebuild or if it is the V.S.S or the T.S.S. I dont know what that is but I have been doing some reading. The car is parked and it sux please help me dudes.

Does your cruise control work? If it doesn't that is another reason to suspect your VSS. Your VSS effects your tranny, steering, and cruise so I would get that replaced and most likey that will solve your problems.

No my cruise control doesnt work it never worked since I got the car the car worked fine with out it. And also the o/d button doesnt work. is the tranny junk?

No, i don't think that the tranny is junk. I would get your VSS swapped or do it yourself. It *should* clear up most of your problems. You are exhibiting symptoms of a bad VSS.

I bought mine at the dealership with a discount for around $30, I think. I would try the link in the home page of the forum for FordPartsNetwork. They can get you a quality one cheap. Labor, I have heard it is a PITA to replace, I would say a couple hours.

Are you sure it skips 2nd? Mine thumps into first pretty hard soemtimes, but I know it's not skipping any gears (can feel it go into 2nd at around 20mph while slowing down every now and again). Could be a mount issue too.

It aint normal caues it never did it before so yea moter mount? Tranny? Rain switch on the top of the tranny, The VSS or the TSS I dont freaking know man .
