I've seen the inside bracket with 5.5mm, 7mm, and 8mm screws. The harness is 10mm.
The glovebox does not need to be removed. All you have to do is (after emptying it of course!) pull the little ears inward to get them by the dash opening to swing the glovebox down (don't be afraid to pull them hard, they won't break). Then the little white bracket holding the PCM is right up there with one of the above screws holding it in. Often I've found the orientation of the bracket to make it nearly impossible to access the head of the screw, and end up using a slotted screwdriver to pry open the slot so the screw head slides through it, and remove the screw afterwards.
