D4u1 installion snafu
Now, I just installed my d4u1 computer, which went well except for the difficulty I experienced pulling the old unit. Problem is, I tore the gasket that surrounds the computer(the "friction fit" one that keeps moisture from coming through the firewall. As a result the gasket no longer creates a seal around the computer. I don't want to have to take it out if I don't have to. The computer fits snugly enough. My plan is to use RTV sealant around the perimeter of the engine side of the gasket to keep the water out. Any better ideas out there? Thanks for any input
