Hi, I have a 2011 SHO/PP with 118K miles. Recently I have gotten a warning chime and pegged temp gauge after quickly stopping from 90 mph freeway speeds and sitting in traffic ( welcome to Southern California ). Coolant level is fine, no DTC thrown, radiator airflow is not blocked. Electric fans start up as expected when I select "max cooling" and set blower at highest speed ( learned that from the shop manual I just bought ). So I monitored the cylinder head temperature with my scanner. There are two of them, one reads about 25 degrees ( F ) higher than the other, e.g. 188 vs 218. Both go up and down with load, but the offset remains about the same.
Any words of wisdom from you folks? Should I just replace both of them? And most important, is this a warning that my water pump is getting ready to pack it in?

Thanks!
Chris

Doubt this helps much but my 2016 only has one CHT sensor, and 20-30 degree difference between CHT and ECT is on par with all my logs.

Thanks, it does help; there is only one CHT, my cheapa-- scan tool mislabled it as CHT1 and CHT2.

After 11 years if you haven't replaced any cooling components it is probably that time. I would check to see if the AC condenser is plugged up with road debris. That would be my first step. Remember the AC Condenser and Intercooler sit in front of the radiator. If they are plugged with ****, the radiator will not have sufficient air flow to keep the temps down.
