What that means is its putting 500 watts to each speaker. If you want to get a little more sound out of it do this very simple thing. On the amp itself switch the positive wires and leave the gound wires where they are. Itll be bridged then and 1000 watts will be goin to both speakers. There might be a button on the amp too that says "bridge" press it when your done.
