When I took my ream main seal & carrier out, I noticed my crankshaft has a groove worn where the seal rides. I just bought a crankshaft repair sleeve from work (advance.) It uses the same seal as without the retainer.
Just wondering if anyone has done this before and if I should use sleeve retainer on it or not.
