crank sensor or DIS module

car was bucking. did search and thought it was cam sensor. changed and problem still there. now it stalls. could be driving at 30 mph, tach will fall to 0 and car stalls. after a minute and numerous attempts, car starts up. will run fine, then acts up again. I assume car will not stall if the cam sensor is bad. how can I tell if it's the crank sensor or DIS module. I have no CEL on. I'll pull codes tonite. I just did timing belt 2 weeks ago. the fixed timing pulley went. wish I did the crank sensor then.

sounds like the crank sensor, but I would wait till someone with more know how chimes in.

I've had two DIS modules fail, and neither acted like that...

sounds like my crank sensor when it went. check the codes and it may give you a little more. if the codes show something different, I'm not to far away in Jersey and have a spare DIS you could use to test if needed.

got code 211 with car off. no codes running. I guess crank sensor?

It would appear so. I think there are some diagnostic procedures floating around here somewhere that can help you confirm what the problem is.
