intermitent crank no start

Several times in the past month ive come to a stop sighn / light or just slowing down and my car died, it cranks but wont start for like 3-4 minutes when it starts up it runs fine again.
i pulled codes and got 519, 332 (which im not worried about) and 211 whcih is my problem. I replaced the DIS and cleared the codes. Vehicle ran fine for 2 weeks and yesterday died on me several times same symptoms, same codes.
My vehicle is 60 miles away from me parked in a friends driveway right now in Galveston, and i need to get it going this weekend. any help would certainly be apprecieated.

Sounds like classic crank position sensor failure (CPS).

Your water pump is more than likely leaking a bit and it drips on your crank sensor and causes it to fail. At first, it will start back up after it dies, but it will get gradually worse.

Typically, people will change water pump, crank sensor, timing belt, and front main seal (accessory belts are easier right now too since they are off). It is a moderate project. First timers will spend a day or two to do the work. If you are good, you can get it down to about 4-5 hours.

THere are how-to write ups all over on this forum and at shotimes.com
