Well I went to get my inspection done, and they wouldn't pass me due to an exhaust leak in the flex pipe area. Do those have to be replaced completely? One guy said that I could just weld a patch over the leaking area, but I don't wanna do anything drastic that won't fix the problem, or won't last. Sure enough, it is a shoshop product.... headbang

I had the SHOshop flexpipe installed about a year ago. It has held up quite well. I also received very good service from SHOshop in getting the unit. You could pay to get someone to weld your current one or pay the same $$ to weld in a brand new SS unit.

SHOShops flex pipe is overpriced. you can get one from JCWhitney for 30-35. it comes with clamps. or you could take it somewhere and have it welded in. total cost for a flex pipe from JCWhitney welded in...50-60...less than the price alone of the SS flex pipe.

Im using the JC Whitney flex pipe. thumb

Decent quality, and at a great price.

No complaints here. And I didnt even weld it up. Im using the clamps that it came with.

I'd think about a patch to pass inspection and get another flex pipe later. The JCW option sounds good. These can be found in several places other than SS. I can't speak to any quality differences there might be though. shrug
