As a newbie, I'm pretty uneducated about some things related to SHO's. I do know about the cps and the way that it can leave you temporarily on the side of the road. My question is, is it ok to drive the car until I can get my 60k done. I am trying to get it done at performance plus but they don't even accept appointments until the 15th of the month. Will this sensor eventually just quit and your car not start again?

I wouldn't worry about it, unless your water pump is leaking or your already having problems. When the water pump leaks it tends to make the CPS go crazy. Performance Plus can be very hard to get into, you have to call right away in the morning of the 15th to get in. When you get the 60k done get the waterpump and CPS done at the same time because you won't want to tear it back apart if either one fails. If your not having any problems as of now I wouldn't worry about it.

On a side note we should get together sometime and go crusing. I actually live in Brown Deer and I see your in Germantown which isn't to far away at all. My friend with a 90 SHO would come to!

I had my cams welded at Performance Plus and I would send everyone I know there. Doug is the best mechanic that I know. I would hate to work for him, but I would not trust anyone else working on my car, besides me of course! The down side is the wait, and I had to wait for alittle over a month. It was well worth it though. boink
