Well just got back from a 1600 mile round trip. Just before i left, i did the plugs,wires.....you know the typical stuff. She ran great there and back. Well tonight i went out in the SHO and all of a sudden i take off from a light and i hear her spark knock then feels like a bad miss. As soon as i hit 4 grand it smoothed out. well anything below that she jerks and bucks. I made it home ok. Well when i was cruising it went away for a second or 2 then it started again. No CE light at all, but i noticed the tach was bouncing all over. Anyone have an idea? :D

Check the CID/DIS sensor's wiring harness for looseness. Also the was the ground at the firewall/intake manifold disturbed? Plug wires on tight?

I just went out to look...Well that bracket is not on all the way. I must have forgoton to tighten it up. The CID/DIS your talking about....thats the connector on the intake on the pass. side? If thats it, its on there good. So far i see the bracket loose, i will fix that in the AM

well, i tightend the ground bracket...Nothing, doing the same thing. It has all new wires and plugs, still running like it was. No CE light at all. Can a cam sensor be going out? I just dont want to pull all that stuff off again. It was so strange it was running awsome then the next second it started to run like crap. After 4k rpm, its fine.

Feels like your running on half an engine until you get up in the RPMS? Shakes the car like ****? I'd put my money on a failing cam sensor too. At least something to look into. :) When mine started failing, it probably only lit the CE light 50% of the time it was making the car run like shoat.

Yeah it's pretty easy. You'll have to unscrew the 8mm bolt holding down the power steering resivoir, the two bolts holding the engine dampener to the bracket on the strut tower, then remove the 3 13mm nuts holding that bracket to the strut tower.

Once you move those things out of your way you should have a pretty clear shot, there are two bolts on each site of the piece that the CID connects to, just take the whole thing off, I think they're 8mm or 10mm. You can't see these bolts, especially the bottom one, but you should be able to feel around for them.

Once you remove the two bolts you'll need to pry the whole thing out, it's in there pretty tight. A large flathead should do the trick. Oh yeah, you should have pulled off the electrical connector by this time. Once you remove the CID then you'll see there are two tiny bolts or screws holding the actual CID to the round bracket or whatever it is. Replace the CID that way. You'll actually see the end of the cam where a metal vane is connected, that is the piece that interacts with the CID. While you're in there, take a good look and make sure that you don't have any oil leaking, there is a cam seal right there and if it leaks it can cause a CID failure.

Have you run your codes? You really should do that first. There's a guide on the SHOPP website.

Hope that helps. :thumb:
