Acv1081,

Looks like the oil sending unit available at auto parts stores. Wait for confirmation on this as i cannot tell from the picture exactly how the engine block is oriented. rangerj

Your photo doesn't give much detail, but if that is the block right below the #3 cylinder (cylinder closest to the brake reservoir/steering wheel), it is the oil pressure sending switch.

Have a different photo?

Well it is right underneath where the head bolts to the block on the transmission end. Does that orientate you to where the pic is? I really want to know so I can order it asap. Thanks. Oh and it's 40 below with the windchill so I can't really go take a pic tonight, but I can tomm if we can't figure out for sure.

Yep, what we said then...

V6 Oil pressure sender SW-1311 D4AZ-9278-A is under $10 at the Ford store, 4 bucks at AutoZone, 6 bucks at AAP.

You could always take it off, bring it to Autozone or something, and see what their oil pressure switch looks like looks like. Maybe the knock sensor if not the oil switch?

I think the knock sensor is under the fuel rails between the heads....

Definitely the Oil Pressure Sender Adam, 26 or 27mm deep socket from memory, and from memory that D4 part number looks right.

Knock sensor's a piece of cake to get out... once you have the intake, and fuel rails & injectors & coolant tube & harness out of the way... :)

Fred thanks for the verification and yeah who said the knock sensor was a PITA? I mean I've got easy access to everything since the intake, rails, heads, pistons, etc... are all off. Geez c'mon people quit cher ******** thumbs_u Pretty sad that I opted to do an engine swap instead of a 60K out of sheer laziness and lack of desire to be cramped :p
