Hi,

After living with a coolant leak, I finally bought a new radiator, while living with the coolant leak, everything was fine, it just leaked coolant all over the place.

This means, the fans worked great, no problem. The little fan ran all of the time and the big one came in when things got too hot.

Sooo, we pull the old leaky radiator and put in a new one with the original cooling fans (which worked), and suddenly, now theres no fans and things get nice and toasty, up until I drive around doing 70 mph to cool things down.

Now why the **** would the fans suddenly quit working?

I ran the EEC test, no fans.
I replaced the relay box, no fans.
I banged my head against the hood, no fans.
I said some very colorful language, no fans.
I put power to the fans directly, wheee fans.

The 50A fuse in the underhood fuse box is good.

What else can I look at? :madflame:

Where is this sensor?

And wouldnt the EEC test (which is supposed to trigger the fans, but no dice) rule this out?

yes you have a good point there,i dident catch that on your first post.
try this, with the car running turn on the A/C or defrost,if the fans come on then i think your probelm is the ECT sensor.if not, then your going to have to run some tests on the harness with a volt meter.

give the wires a good once over, maybe you pinched something durring the radiator swap?

thes sensor is located on the water jacket on the firewall side of the T-stat around the connection for the speedo cables. Its a 2 wire sensor. A 1" deep well socket well remove it.
it would be good practice to replace this anyway if you never have.
