Question for the group: It seems that the cooling fan is running almost all of the time in the relatively cool (cold) weather that we've been having in PA. I hear it wind down when I shut the SHO down.

I'm thinking that the fan kicks in at low speeds and I'm just hearing it when I shut down, but with temps in the 40s (or lower) is the normal? Does the fan run at low speeds almost all of the time to pull air through the intercooler? Coolant levels are fine.

Performance is magnificent so there's no complaints there, just curious about the operations as a new owner.

Mine seems to run more than other cars I've had. I do know that Ecoboosts do run pretty hot. The turbos are hot and add to it. In warm weather, I run with the engine cover off. I just put it back on for the winter. At the track, some guys put bags of ice on their intakes between runs.

Driving mostly highway or city traffic? Stop-and-go driving would mean more fan time. How are the coolant temps? Is there any debris stuck in the radiator, or any significant bent fins visible?

No debris or anything visible. Usually I hear the fan running when I get home and pull in the driveway. I'm about 3 miles off an interstate so I'm guessing that everything is cooling down after the highway speeds.

I'm sure once you lose the airflow getting off the interstate the fans would kick on. Should be normal.
