Yet another problem with my SHO and i've only had it a week...anyways, it ran hot today...cooling fan didnt come on. I checked the wiring and when i put a jumper across the CTS connector, the fan comes on. So i've narrowed it down to the CTS i think, but im just wondering what the resistance spec is for it. I got 3,184 ohms at about 120degrees.

TIA
Ely

My chart shows 122°F being 10.97K ohms(or 1,097Ohms)
Voltage output at this temp is 1.70Volts. You definately have a bad ECT Sensor.
The higher the reading, the lower the temp.

Close, but no seegar. 10.97K = 10,970 ohms, not 1,097 ohms. Just tryin' to help.

Hmmm...after i posted this yesterday i went back down and filled it with coolant and plugged the sensor back in and took it for a drive...and now the fan works
the sensor was kinda hard to get to so maybe i wasnt getting a good connection with the DVOM....ill definetly re-check it though just to be sure. Thanks for the info thumbs_u
