It'll be hard to find without the system pressurized unless there is still coolant pooling or a trail that's easy to spot. Nothing is easy to spot on the back of the motor unfortunately.

I'm wondering if I could just hook this up to an air tank and put a little pressure on the system. That way I could work on it cold and not have to put it back together to run the engine up to temp.

Anyone have any thoughts on why it seems only to happen around the time the thermostat would open? I don't think the thermostat would control any flow at that part of the engine.

No way an air tank is gonna help ya bud. You need to get the correct tools for that. All you're gonna do is spray coolant all over you and the motor if ya do that.

****,
I was thinking about hitting you up after work tomorrow for a pressure test if you're available. I get out between 4-5pm. Let me know if you've available.

The pipe that goes into the the heads from the water pump has O rings on it. There is also a short piece of hose that connects the two pipe halves.

Other than the heater hoses, the hoses that go from the heads to the coolant tank that is about it.

You should have replaced all the hoses with generic new ones by now.......

Oh and I forgot about the two small 3/8" coolant lines that heat up the throttle body.
