Okay,

I had a leak coming from the seam in the radiator. Got a bottle of stop leak stuff and it was fixed. Get my coolant flushed and filled, no problem until about 100 miles later the Low Coolant light comes on. A check of the levels is low both in the bottle and in the radiator.

I had smelled that collant burning smell, but never saw any signs under the car of drips or puddles.

After further inspection I determine it was the upper radiator hose (could see signs of coolant on the tranny... get the replacement and new clamps.

Open the hood today again after the Low Coolant light shines; low an behold I see slpatter of coolant on the hoses, and other stuff near the upper radiator hose connection on the block.

Is it the hose or something else?

half-way there, I think.
Number 1 thing - never ever put stop leak in any car - unless your selling it. It does more harm than good, it generally plugs up more than the leaks. Unfortunatly as our cars get older, the hoses start to go bad. There are numerous hose in that general area. I would recommend visiting one of the local parts stores and see if the have a cooling system pressure tester they loan out. It's much easier to pin point a problem with one.

It wasn't the STOP LEAK brand, if fact I got the suggestion after some debate from this forum.

Thanks for the pressure tip... i'll do that!

The GoDan Inc. 2162 radiator can be had for $149.99 and will work for both the 3.0L and 3.2L since it has the transmission cooler on the passenger side tank. Just put one in last week.

Okay, after further inspection I found the general location of the leak, but with everything so tight I can get an exact fix on it.

If looking at the water inlet and thermostat housing there are a couple of other smaller hose outlets. I think it is coming from the one on the top right. When I open up the throttle coolant shoot downwards and towards the firewall.

Of course I can put my hand and nothing will fit in there without burning the crap out of me. It was hard to even look while opening up the throttle without getting a spray of coolant.

Question is, could I have a blocked thermostat,(the car is not overheating at all)?

?What is that smaller top hose for?

I really don't think it is the hose to the heater?(i'm guessing because of the metal fiting.

I don't want to take it to a shop, especially here cuz there isn't anyone who know's the SHO, not even the dealer.
