I know this may have been addressed previously, so I have collected lots of info about several causes for my mysterious disappearing coolant, to hopefully eliminate less likely answers (there seems to be several). This is what happens (and doesn't):

1. The Low Coolant idiot light comes on about every 3 months. It's on again. The level, at least last time, of the fluid really was low, so I suspect it is again this time (not the sensor).
2. I cannot smell coolant at all. However, in the past week, I have smelled a scent like burning rubber, once when driving around for quite a while, and another time after leaving the car to warm up for a few minutes. I was not burning out or anything wink :burnout: The scent seems to come from the back of the car, although I can also smell it some near the driver's side fender (wind?)
3. There is no coolant in the oil, or white smoke from the tailpipes (usually, read on). If you watch my SHO Movie carefully, you may see a small puff of white smoke from the tailpipe when the engine is being revved - just before showing the tach.
4. I don't see any growing puddles under the car. However, it could be leaking so slowly it evaporates, and I never see it. If so, is there a simple way to locate the leak?

I appreciate any help anyone can give me, as this problem is a little irritating, as it is reoccurring. :D

Well it's very common to have a leak just burn off on the engine and or the cat. It could also be the weep hole on your water pump. The only way you are going to find it for sure is by grabbing a pressure tester (Available for free rental from Autozone, Murrays, Pep Boys, etc) and pump it up to 16lbs. With the engine off, the pressure will exagerate the hole and you should be a ble to pinpoint your leak. Good luck!

my radiator leaked on the drivers side tank and you could only tell by taking the shroud off and look for a green crust of evaprated coolant.

A burning rubber smell is often a belt slipping.
