I think something is wrong with my coolant sensor. I had pulled it and I'm not sure if it plugs into another portion inside the bottle, but I reconnected the sensor and let it dangle into my bottle and it started smoking. I can leave it disconnected and drive it fine but I'd prefer my car to be hooked up the right way and working properly. How do I reconnect this wire so that it wont smoke?

edit: ive pulled the bottle and washed away all of the burnt antifreeze from inside the bottle. I also cleared the line leading from bottle to radiator.

I've come to the conclusion I have a bad sensor.

I cleaned the bottle, replaced everything, cleaned the sensor. Same thing happened. I filled the bottle with only water this time so I wouldnt have to clean it again, thinking it only smoked last time because there was no fluid touching it.

I filled the bottle with water, it started smoking once again, and the car blew the 10 amp fuse that I had problems with prior and turned off my car.

I'm assuming I need a new low coolant sensor and I intend on just running the car without one until I get a new one. If I am correct can someone please let me know. If I'm incorrect can someone please let me know.

Thanks in advance .

These have been known to go bad and blow the fuse, just pull the plug from the sensor until you have a new/used one.
