Continental at the track

I took my Conti to the Brainerd Raceway for the street legal drags. Unfortunately I only got in one run before a thunderstorm rolled in and shut us all down. The car is bone stock and I didn't launch it very hard. I ran a 13.56. I am getting desperate for a tune. I think the potential is decent but it certainly feels slow compared to my old MKS with the Livernois tune. With a harder launch and better air, I think it would run 13.3 stock. I will never be satisfied with that, though.

I am not sure if he is on the forum or not but a friend with a Livernois tuned SHO was also at Brainerd. After we got rained out, we did meet up at a stop light on the way back to Minneapolis. All I could see was SHO tail lights. Have I mentioned that I REALLY need a tune???

NICE!!! What was the 60' and mph thru the traps?

The 60 was 2.028 and the trap speed was 102.8. I basically launched from an idle. I had planned to get more aggressive with it after making the first run but the rain spoiled that plan. We had a helluva headwind and I think that hurt the trap speed. I was expecting around 105.

Hey Bruce was nice to see you again. Hopefully we can run them at the track next time. I still need to get the Livernois Alky kit though. Maybe get into the 12s next time.

Your SHO looked pretty strong at that stoplight! I thought I could hang with you for a little bit but there was no way!

The weather is finally looking good for the Wednesday night street legal drags at Brainerd. I am hoping to improve on my previous 13.56 time and see a Livernois tuned SHO that I expect to be there. I can't run with it but I will cheer for him to get into the 12s!
