94 ATX w/133k miles one owner car, Trans fluid has been changed or flushed every 30k miles. Fluid looks clean and has no burnt odor.Have read several hundred threads on o/d and transmission troubles but none seem to match my problem exactly.Pulled codes KOEO 1st time showed 111 KOER showed failed goose test so I ran them again and got 111's for both tests.

Issue started several week ago with a flashing o/d light which came on randomly.Pushing o/d button would turn off light and o/d would work fine for a few days and light would start flashing again. Light would only come on at low speeds, going to store in town etc.and shut off on its own. Took car for a 40 mile drive over hilly terrain and highways running w/cruise on and set at 60 mph, tach showing 2100 rpm. Turned o/d off and car geared down and tach jumped to 3100 rpm. Stopped, hit o/d on button and all worked perfectly for several days. Cruise worked perfectly up and down hills all the way home

A few days ago turned car on, o/d light came on and has stayed on ever since.Pushing on/off button has no effect. Other than that no other issues with trans. It shifts smoothly as always and no slippage that I have ever noticed. Car has never been raced nor abused.

What should first step be? If the C clip was bad would that not have happened all at once? Should I drop the trans fluid pan and check for debris?

Any help would be much appreciated. I've been hosed by AAmco before on another vehicle and would like to have as much info as possible before going to a trans shop. Anyone here have good experiences with other chains. If so would like to hear about.

I'd say it is either the c-clip or the od wires in the console were starting to short out on you for a couple of days - and one of them (or both) has broken or is shorting. I'd start with the od wires as they are easier. If not them then I'd bet the rest of my money on the c-clip.
