I have a problem with my 90 shos AC. the compressor froze on me.I put a small belt around just the alt+crank but the belt still brushes up on the comprssor. does anyon know how to pull the compressor it looks like theres two 14m bolts attaching it from the bottom are there any others besides this two i was having problems I couldn't even get one of tose loose there both so hard to get at its a real problem. does anyone have any tricks to get at them? i was using a wrench ad getting about 1 degree turn at a time . also there was a bracket or something under the two bolts i thought i could loosen up the bolts were easier to get at. i loosened a 14m and a 15m nut to see if that could make the compressor pivot out of the way it didn't . what is that bracket or whatever? is it just for the compressor should I put the bolt back?

Thanks guys

There are 4 bolts that hold the compressor to its bracket, 2 on top of the compressor and 2 on the bottom. If I remember correctly the bolts have 13 MM heads on them but they could be 14MM. Is the pulley bearing siezed also. It should be free if the compressor is siezed. Unplug the electrical connection on the clutch coil so the compressor is not engaged when you have the defrost on.

Consider replacing the clutch pulley bearing if it is siezed The bearing is available for the 90 and I think it is available for the 91. 92, and 93 also.
I replaced mine last year.

There are at least 4 and maybe five bolts that hold the A/C compressor bracket to the engine. I do not think it would be any easier to try to remove the bracket with the compressor in place. It does help to get the overflow bottle and the fan, as well as the battery, out of the way. rangerj
