Dr. Tweak
Mad Scientist
And I took over 150 pics, lol!
The guide should be coming together soon... I have my work cut out for me the the next week wink
Anyways everything went pretty well, except for breaking one of the cam cover bolts on each side. I broke the ones on the far right side, those little ones. One on each side were totally seized. The gaskep seem to have sealed well without them though.
All of the clearances were in spec and all of the shims were in great shape. It seems to me now that the car may in fact have gotten an upper 60k a while back... but no RTV on the plug well seals...
I do have a bit of smoke coming off the rear exhaust manifold, I know I got the gasket on right because I triple-checked it, but maybe it's leftover from all the cleaner etc? At any rate I'll be checking it out first chance I get.
That rear cover is a pain in the neck!!!
It runs SO much better now though! WOW. So that guide will be up pretty soon and I'll be looking for your tips to add.
I will probably be taking the manifold off again pretty soon to do a guide to cleaning it (I didn't have time to do it, and it and the intake ports were really dirty.) Plus I will do it to replace a few of the pics that didn't come out...
Anyways, any ideas about my SHO or the website, let me know! burnout
