Well my '95 mustang GT comes stock with around 220 HP 5.0, which is pretty lackluster as well. But we all know how the EFI 5.0 can be drastically upgraded just by simple GT40 series bolt-ons and decent headers, catalyst removal...
Was the SHO v8 designed the same way, insofar that the lower HP is due to very restricted flow? I read it has inherent balance issues because of the 60 degree angle...besides the strange cam design, it's a fascinating engine, I need to read more on it.
