Coil pack or ICM? 95 atx

I have a transiant problem with miss-firing on 1 or two cylinders. Usually it runs fine on all six, but sometimes is only running on 5 or 4. It seems to be the same piston missing when it is missing. When it is missing there is ne fire out of the coil pack on that cylinder. This is a 95 atx. Is the problem going to be the coil or the ICM. Because of the way the car is programmed to run on the failure of sensors running the other componets, I am pretty sure its' one of these or the other. Help!

I had this happen when the power plug for the coil was not properly plugged in. Is the tach consistent with vehicle speed?

Might be.

You know. I did pull that connector off to see if I was getting signal on all three wires, (and I was), and after plugging it back in the thing won't stop running perfectly. I can't believe that was all it was but we will see. Thanks for the suggestion.

The orange gasket has to be properly seated or you will not get power to all three coils.
