I have a transiant problem with miss-firing on 1 or two cylinders. Usually it runs fine on all six, but sometimes is only running on 5 or 4. It seems to be the same piston missing when it is missing. When it is missing there is ne fire out of the coil pack on that cylinder. This is a 95 atx. Is the problem going to be the coil or the ICM. Because of the way the car is programmed to run on the failure of sensors running the other componets, I am pretty sure its' one of these or the other. Help!

I had this happen when the power plug for the coil was not properly plugged in. Is the tach consistent with vehicle speed?

Might be.

You know. I did pull that connector off to see if I was getting signal on all three wires, (and I was), and after plugging it back in the thing won't stop running perfectly. I can't believe that was all it was but we will see. Thanks for the suggestion.:)

The orange gasket has to be properly seated or you will not get power to all three coils.
