Don't know what type of SHO you have but my 91 had that code for the EGR and after doing what you did, it turned out to be a vacuum hose was disconnected at the DFPE sensor. ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! Check for the simple things first.

Don't know anything about the Idle air control though.

THe DFPE sensor is that square block bolted to the back of the rear plenum. Clean it out or replace it. The vac lines go from there to the EGR.

Oh yea, then clear the codes once you are done.

Are you still getting a CEL?

Or

are you just reading the codes? If so, you could be reading the codes that are stored. Clear the codes as Michael said.

A common failure for the DPFE is moisture contamination from the exuast tubes leading to it and causing erroneous readings and EGR codes even though it runs fine. Find out if they are both hard fault codes and not continuous memory DTCs.
