I just replaced a coolant line coming from the top of the engine to the throttle body. After replacing the hose I'm getting a 335 and 172 code? The car doesn't want to idle smothly either. Is the DPFE the only thing that could cause that code? I replaced the 02's 5k miles ago so it couldn't be them and cleaned out the intake by taking the allen nuts off as well as the nostrils on the throttle when I did the hose. The car runs ok when I'm driving, but there is some hesitation. Where is the best place to get a DPFE if that's what I need?

Thanks all.

was the intake still on the car when you cleaned the nostrils?

try clearing the codes: dissconnect the battery for 90 secs. reconnect, and reset the idle.
Run the car for awhile and see what comes back up.

If you did clean them with the intake on, you may have fouled out an O2 sensor.

HOWEVER,
the other side of this could be better news.
The O2 sensor code could be a stored code, since you did replace them, im assuming they went out, whcih threw a code. And if you didnt clear the codes, that would account for that code.
Then the DPFE, that could be from a clogged line, or a broken one. Check the lines for any pinches, cracks, or best yet, get some vaccum line and replace(like 5 bucks at local parts store).

Like i said, erase the codes, and start over. then come back with the new codes. What would be a good choice of action, is to replace the lines now, and then reset. That way you could cancel out it being the lines.

Actually I did take the intake off when I replaced the coolant hose. I also cleaned the inside of the intake by taking the allen screws out and spraying cleaner and scrubbing. One thing is that when I put the intake back on there was a bit of solvent that created a vacuum leak which I had to drive with for a day. The car ran really poorly almost like a cylinder had dropped out. I took the intake off again and cleaned the surfaces off and put it back on which took care of the vacuum leak. Is it possible running it like that could cause an 02 to foul up? I will change the hoses that connect to the DPFE clear the codes and reset the idle and hope for the best. Thanks

yes that could have caused it.. IIRC, 172 is a lean code.... (dont have my book in front of me at the moment)

If that dosent cure the problem, then it could be the DPFE sensor/module is bad or failing... im not sure if there is a way to test them... im sure someone else will chime in on it. Hope it helps.
