I had the SHOShop do some work on my car for the cams and timing. Well I get it back and they said that my clutch is bad. I only have around 5k miles on it. It is a stock clutch. Basically I can depress the clutch all the way and it wont release. On occasion it will but for the most it wont. I have to rev match to be able to shift usually. Vadim said it was probably the throw out bearing. I didnt notice any problems when I delivered it to them. Anyone have any ideas? They wont take care of it as they are booked and it already took them over a week to get me the car back. Thanks.

Already did, it will go all the way down with no luck. I usually have to start it in gear ans sometimes it wont go out of gear. I have to turn off the car to get it to disengage.

Another typical SS screwup... Sorry to hear they got ya. It didn't have ANY problems with the clutch prior to bringing it to them? Do you know that the self-adjuster works for sure? I don't see what they could have done if they only did cam work and timing work.

Sounds like a possible PP problem to me, though it could be TOB related I suppose. Did you hear any sudden loud pops or crunches?

Scary......

If it broke it was while SS had it. When I drove it down I had no problems getting it down there and noticed no sounds. Vadim didnt mention any sounds that I sould know of. It sometimes releases but rarely.

This might not help-

My clutch went at 169k miles after I did the Crank Position Sensor.

No lie! :madflame: It was 100% fine before I changed the cps, I removed the timing belt and sprocket to make it easier.

When I put it back together, the clutch would work for 2-3 shifts then grind gears and not let it go into 1st with the engine running.

My PP was pretty chewed, the tob didn't spin good, the disc had a spring loose. The only thing I can think happened is that the damage was already there but not evident- until I 'starter bumped' the crankshaft bolt and impaq wrench spun (then checked w/ torque wrench) it back on..

Good luck!
