So the other night I left my car running in neutral for about 30 minutes.
Right after I drove about 4 miles and stopped at a light, and even with the clutch down to the floor it felt like it was still catching, it was really hard(impossible) to shift to 1st and 3rd.i got it to a parking lot and gave it 40 minutes to cool. Then it shifted just fine but since when I have the clutch in, no matter in neutral or moving gears, it sounds like the clutch is still semi engaged, not to the extent of grinding, but like skidding. Just a slight metallic sound. The clutch still grabs fine, there's no loss of rpm, so is it just a cable adjustment problem?

Could be a cable adjustment.
Just as likely is.... the noise you hear is the Throw Out Bearing (TOB) nibbling at your pressure plate fingers. Could be some of the fingers are already gone, and you are working on the next one in the row. Only part of the pressure plate is moving away from the clutch (where the fingers are missing, nothing is happening) so there is some engagement no matter where your foot is, in the pedal travel.

Ever since I've got the car, the clutch rode low... You'd have to press it all the way to the floor to release the clutch. I never knew about the quadrant business, I have always just saw the "self adjusting" business on the forums.

Anyways, I just got up in there with a flathead and shoved that ******** up 3 clicks! Hey! No more all the way through the damn floor to release! But, I'm afraid it sounds like the damage is already done. Now the metallic sound doesn't happen until you let into a gear, not anytime you have the clutch in. Sounds like a tob and finger on the pp for sure.

It is nothing that you did that caused this issue. The TOB runs continuously and eventually the bearing reaches its endurance limit. When it doesn't go around quite so well, the fingers see a lot more wear, and they are not too big to begin-with, so they fail rather quickly.

I have never worn out a disc, but I have gone through 3 pressure plate finger failures.

Start looking for a deal on a new Clutch Kit, I have bought them as low as $125.00 and as much as $250.00.
You still have some life left in what you have, the damage is done, and it won't damage anything else. Just nurse it along.
Either do the install yourself, or take it to a true SHO shop where you can expect to pay about $500.00. Do not look to find a first time guy with your SHO. The first time guys cannot cope with all the subframe bolts failing and your exhaust bolts breaking, plus they will ruin a whole lot of things like your DIS module.
Once you change it, it is good for hundreds of thousands of miles.

Best thing for any SHO clutch job is the SHOnut TOB.

I have worn out 2 discs with the one I have... and it is still living on, on my current clutch.
