Hello everyone!
So, I have my SHO for now 1 month, and I just got my liscence yesterday.

First problem! its making me crazy!! I just can't beleive that my car broke the FIRST night I can drive it alone! Im ******.

So, there's the story :
I was going back home with a friend in my town. (yes I pushed the SHO to like 110 on the highway to own another car) but thats pretty much all) And then, everything was normal. I come to a red light, and when I took off, I felt the clutch was "shorter" (you know, the friction point wasn't the same) But I told myself I'm just tired...Im crazy! but the next red light (about 40 feets away) I tried to took off, but I stalled like a *******. Restarted, and did the same thing. So I revved to maybe 2500 or 3k and very slowly disengaged the clutch pedal. But the car felt like I dropped it. It was shaking like **** and the clutch completly engaged in a second (rev dropped to about 100 rpm) I can't make the clutch slip! and thats about now I saw smoke coming out off the hood, mainly from the back driver sie the the engine bay.
Anyway, I called the towing company at 12:05, at 2:20 they picked me up and bring me home with my car.

Oh, another thing : I was parked on an incline (e-brake does not work at all) so i put it in first gear, wasn't moving. Tried to press the clutch pedal, and the car moved foward like it should do.

What's going on ? I dont know what it can be, but I want to fix that ASAP!

help REALLY appreciated! thank!

I think I would be more worried about losing my license for driving at 110 MPH to own another car after just getting my license. Can we say REVOKED!

other than that though, I'd say the clutch is done.

I hate to say I agree...

Dont do stupid **** so early, theres lots of time to do that, espcially safely on a track... but not on the first night of having your license...

I cant really suggest anything about the clutch though, other then it doesnt look very good, and it will most likely need to bne replaced...

Please tell me you were at least alone in the car.

Sounds like a mechanical issue rather than the clutch surface or flywheel surface. Either way, the thing has to come apart.

I buried my son two years ago because he did something utterly stupid with his vehicle.

Please don't do that to your parents.

parents should never have to bury their children. I am sorry for your loss Steve. I too worry about that.

I did nothing to it, just started it today, and I drove away, just got home from a 115 miles trip (on a 1/8 tank :oogle: ) and it works perfectly...

sunny San Juan Bautista,
Sounds like it might be a bad adjuster. Or something binding. So you meant 110 kph right?

----------

Steve, I remember that and it still saddens my heart. If I didn't offer my deepest condolences then you certainly have them now. Ever since that terrible tragedy I've been triple cautious with the jackstands. Use 'em even if I'm doing something like rotating the tires, just in case I'm tempted to peep my head under there. They go out to the car before the jack does. Just wish I didn't have to learn to be extra cautious that way.

yeah tonight I was "racing" a acura integra automatic... and I was beside him, light on throttle, and never opened the secondaries.

I think not I should fill it up and calculate my gas mileage. Its look like very good.

I think he was talking 110mph, he used miles and his car's in miles. Also people in Montreal don't drive at 90km/h on the highway, you'll get knocked off the road if you did.

Dude, stop racing you car a few days after you got your lisence, I'll give you a few months before you wreck it or hurt someone if you keep "racing" with what little experience you have.
A car loses control much easier than you think.

Sorry to hear about your loss Steve.

haha, I was doing 120km/h in a 70 just outside the laval tunnel following traffic in the left lane, and a dude driving a hyundai accident, er accent, blasted by me and gave the hairy eyeballs for not moving out of his way...

yes, montreal is nuts...I love montreal, but quebec on the whole stinks...
