I'm gonna be picking it up here real soon. The man has been very good and patient while I get the $ together. (problems with the tax return $) Like I mentioned before he really would like me to have it since I'm a Ford nut. Cool, on the description of the quill. I can understand the terminology better. I'm gonna order the video before I dive in and start pulling stuff apart. I'm prolly gonna build Scott's engine support, as pipe is on a high swing in price right now, was almost $50 when I priced it the other day (too bad I didn't find this while I was still a pipefitter = FREE). Also, what is the "revised" TOB listed in the above posts at AZ?

The revised TOB is larger than the old one and is the one you want to get. Part number you want to get is BCA 614118. Make sure you specify the "Kit" which comes with the TOB, quill sleeve and pin. It runs about $24.00.

Is that SHONUT's part #?? I was prolly gonna do their ceramic TOB with the stocker kit and hold onto the stock one or sell it.

stock replacement clutch -> Auto-Zone-$270 no core, Lifetime Guarantee. includes NEW clutch disk, NEW pressure plate, and revised TOB (quill sleeve removal required). my quill sleeve came off with a little twisting action, like i was unscrewing a bolt. the tangs gouged the quill slightly, but Scotch-Brite took care of that.

on manual transmissions of yesteryear, 2nd gear was your only synchronized gear, thats why many of us go from 2nd to reverse (myself included).
Dale,
You still replaced the quill, right? Please excuse my ignorance. It's kinda tuff visualizing the whole shooting match til iI get 'er here... Especially when I know more about the RWD apps.. :D
