I have an 89 sho, I replaced the cluth 6 months ago and today i was fine until about 2 hours ago. I had to replace the battery. Now when I go to push the clutch in it vibrates alot . Then when I dis engage the clutch there is this loud nocking noise at the bottom of my motor. I wont go into gear unless I push real hard. could it be that my shift cable has broke?

Sounds more like you might have broken a pressure plate finger or the TOB has blown apart. Sorry. :headbang:

sounds like to me that the PP bolts are lose. There is a TSB hosted on shotimes about that. go to www.shonutperformance.com and look on his mtx page, there is something there about using loctite on the PP bolts. I've seen first hand what happens when they are loctited and/or TQ'd properly.

Call it the hard to shift and sheared off flywheel dowel mod :)

Sucks, thats exactly what happened to my car out of no where. I changed my clutch and found 2 or 3 teeth from the pressure plate where broken and the TOB was all messed up.
