Does the factory clutch system preload the throw out bearing? Im adjusting the clutch on the festiva/ sho swap and was wondering if I should take out all the play in the clutch cable , preload it slightly or leave play in it.

I respectfully (but with a smart ass tone) disagree.

The stock system preloads the TOB to the fingers with the spring that's in the clutch quadrant. If you want to know how much "pull" it has, prop the clutch pedal in a stock SHO (This releases the ratchet and lets the spring in the quad pull out the slack and apply preload) and pull the clutch cable off of the fork on the trans. How ever hard it is to pull that is the amount of preload you are aiming for
