There's a clunking coming from what seems like my transmission (93 ATX). I hear it when it's in drive, and it's consistent with the speed of the car. It's very loud from underneat the car, but not too loud from inside. It also leaks large amounts of fluid while it's moving, too. Are diff pins a problem in automatics, too? This is the first automatic SHO I've owned, so it's all new to me, haha. Aside from the leak and the clunk, it pulls great. Gear changes are good, and there's absolutely no slipping or other harshness. I've come to the conclusion that either:
a)the diff pin decided to take a vacation and left a wonderful hole up high right at the differential that leaks only when both wheels are turning
or
b) the vss sensor is leaking when I'm not watching it, and the knocking is in the half shaft.
Has anything like this ever happened to anybody before?
