there's some serious clunking coming from the drivers side of my SHO. everytime i go around a sharp turn at low speeds or let of the throttle at mid-high rpms. i suspect f***** up subframe bushings but the more i think about it the more i start to think it might be the tranny mount. the reason i suspect the tranny mount is becuse when shifting into third at WOT the clutch is extremely easy to push in (it feels disconnected) and it feels almost as if the tranny is rising if that makes any sense. the clutch definately has no grab to the thrid gear shift yet second hooks up well eneough to spin em into second. any way i can check if its worn-broken? any imput about the annoying clunking or what it could be would be greatly apprecitated.

Get the car up on jackstands and do some troubleshooting. It sounds like severly worn SFBs or ball joints.

You can inspect the transmission mount through the driver side wheel well. This mount rarely fails and you can determine if yours is intact by checking the soft rubber bond of the mount. You may pull up on the lower edge of the fender liner to see the majority of the mount, but you will likely have to pull the wheel to get a good look. You do have the jack that came with the car, don't you?

It could be anything from subframe bushings, tie rod ends, tie rods, sway bar links, wheel bearings or even CV joints. A thorough inspection would be required to determine the source.
