Does anybody know a way to get clear turn sginals on a gen I? I think it would look cleaner in the front of my SHO without the orange plastic. I'm not really looking for that ricer euro-light look, though, so no big orange dot in the middle.

And do turn signals legally have to be orange?

the laws very from place to place, on my mustang, i swaped in the clear corners, and left an orange bulb in, then it looks normal at night, and while signaling, and in the day, it looks clean w/o the orange plastic there......

I have heard of people disassembling them to get the orange piece out, however, I wouldnt know the 1st thing about it...

I think I might be able to pull the part off a Sable. I saw one today and it looked like it had clear corners, and the same size piece.

Nope, Gen 2, the sable sidemarker IS the same as a SHO. Gen 1, the sidemarker lens is longer on the sable. It goes back further into the fender - back towards the drivers door. Feel free to check it out if you want at a junkyard or something.

Go over to the TCCA website and do a search for koolit. He was getting them for $125 a pair. I just can't remember if they were Gen1 or Gen2, and I'm not sure if they were for the front or the rear.

I guess if you really wanted the corners from a Sable bad enough, you could probably swap fenders, ala Gen II. The hood *should* still fit, but I don't have a Gen I so I couldn't tell ya.

RI-SHO has a sweet looking gen 2. You must have mistaken him with another member. Although, I'm still interested in who you are talking about.

SHO SPD had clear markers that he fabbed himself on his old 89, but he sold that car. If you ask him maybe you can get some pics that shows it, or you could see if he'll make you some.

I have those ones sitting in my room now. I don't really like the way they look, so I'm making some different ones.
