i was thinkin about getting the cincy sho gauge panel mtx package that includes a three gauge panel with 3 gauges=volts, vaccuum, and oil pressure. but i need to know a little bit of stuff about the gauges first. 1. Do the gauges light up?
2. Is it easy to install and look nice when done?
If any of you guys have any information or pics please help me out a little here, thanks

dont know about that set up, but IPT has an A pillar pod guage set up which is nice. I just ordered Greddy guages, which I think look a whole lot better than AutoMeter, etc., and are the only electrical guages I have found that offer 270 degree sweeps, which I like a lot better than the puny sweeps of the other electrical guages. Greddy are super nice looking too, more hi tech and 2nd Millenium. I am tired of the typical look I have seen since the 60's.
You can also order the radio blank piece from Ford and install guages of your choice.
I bought a Heart Interface digital volt/amp/battery condition guage, which is way more accurate and reliable than any else I have seen. reads to hundredths. Used mainly in marine/aircraft, but fits autos fine.

IPT is Innovative Performance Technologies run by shawn paisley (1fastsho on this board) and is found at www.iptech.tv

btw, i dont think yourgoing to need a vacuum guage unless your running boost. but i might be wrong. (usually the case)

IPT is great! I have the A pillar gauge and it looks great.

I disagree with the vacuum gauge statement though. A vacuum gauge can give you a lot of info, such as a clogged exhaust, valve timing, a sticky valve, a floating valve, etc.

I have a vacuum gauge, oil pressure, and coolant temp.

They want $40 for a piece of plastic? Make a template out of cardboard and trace it on some acrylic and cut it out..

The gauge pod from IPT at least has some work put into it for its $45 price.

I bought the same gauge pod IPT sells but from a different supplier, mounted it up over the weekend and it's great! The gauges are a little too "in your face" because of where they are and you loose some visibility for left turns but it's great otherwise.

the cincy gauges are autometer, they look great and they do light up. their panel is ASS, its very thin and if you tighten up the gauges so that there isnt a gap between the back of the gauge and the surface of the plastic, the plastic bends. its just not thick enough. it also leaves a gap on the top and bottom, the best thing to do is have a piece of metal cut that would be an exact fit, it would probably be cheaper if you know someone too.

i hit the wrong button before i could finish my statement.
