just got my sho back on the road, and when its cold and in first gear, it will chug the engine between 3&4000 rpm ounce it warms up it seems to stop. so what could cause something like this. the dumb mechanic put 87octane in,could that be it, or maybe some thing with the intake?

I just had a refreshed tranny, clutch, waterpump, trannymount, brakes,R calipers all intalled and before that last maintance was a 60k 2years and about 1300miles ago. (it sat a while untill I rebuilt the tranny).
any ideas appreciated.

The clutch slipping isn't the first thing that would come to my mind. Sounds more like an engine issue.

yea but it only happens in first gear and only if your flooring it, if you slowly go up it is fine. and in any other gear I can floor it strait through to 5k, so it seems like the drivetrain is some how involved. I will just have to baby it from now on untill the clutch seats. and if it doesn't go away I will look into it more.
if you have any other idea what could cause it let me know.
