posting this question from another forum:

Anybody ever changed the ac compressor clutch on a sho? Can it be done with out having to dump the system? I have a central pnuematic venturi vacuum pump, will this work to evacuate the system if I do remove the compressor?

Ditto,
You DO NOT have to evacuate the system to remove and replace the clutch and clutch coil assembly. While the clutch assembly is off of the compressor look at the compressor shaft seal for signs of any leaking.
