i have a 94 mtx 3.0 i went ahead and did a test to see what i have for codes but im not sure if i got the codes right. i know from reading on shotimes that Model years 1989 to 1991 used 2-digit codes. 1992-1995 use 3-digit codes i first ran the koeo test. it gave me codes 26,57,72,76,54 i then went ahead and ran the koer test. it gave me 172,136,536 i am not sure i read the codes right so i ran both test mutiple times! got the same why is it that i get 2 digit codes when i do a koeo test but i get 3 digit codes when i run koer test? am i doing something wrong?
also when i went to go see what the codes were it did not list 26,57,76

54: ACT (Air Charge Temperature) indicated -40degF; circuit open. Suspect shorted sensor, harness.
72: '89: Insufficient BP output change during dynamic response test.
'90-91: Insufficient MAF output change during dynamic response test.

172: HEGO sensor indicates system lean (RH).
136: HEGO sensor indicates system lean (LH).
^ prolly got a vacume leak some were i heard that they rarely go at the same time^
536 BOO circuit failure.
^ i think this was caused by my parking brake being on^

any help would be great
thanks in advance!

ok went out and ran the tests again! clearing the codes before i ran the test's
koeo came out fine no codes BUT! i got 3 digit codes on the koer
116 i did not find a code for this anybody have a clue ?
136 HEGO sensor indicates system lean (LH).
172 HEGO sensor indicates system lean (RH).
225 Knock sensor (KS) not sensed during dynamic response test.
536 BOO circuit failure.
can anybody give me any input on 116,225,536? or atleast head me in the right direction

i have had the intake off so im thinking that both o2 sensors are ok i might have a intake or intake coupler leaking some were

thanks again

225 might be from not doing it right. I can only say that the O2s are bad. Have you been getting bad gas milage?

116 is Engine Coolant Temperature sensor out of range. Did you warm the car before running the KOER test?

225 indicated the knock sensor did not trigger during the dynamic response test. If you are at high altitude, this may fail to occur. Test several times. If you continure to get 255, replace the knock sensor.

536 - Brake on/off switch test failed. Did you press the brake pedal at the right time? If not, this will occur.

PCM says both O2's are reading lean, and you state you've got bad gas mileage. Sure, you might have a leak. Replace all intake hoses, then check again. If the codes persist, replace both O2's.
