CE light

I filled up the gas tank and now the CE light comes on. It will randomly flicker, be constant (for long and short periods), or not come on at all. I haven't had a chance to run the codes, i work in retail and with the holidays my daylight non-worn out time is not much. I have heard that bad gas, ie watered down or contaminated, will trip that light. Is it true?, or do i more than likely have have worse demons to condem with. shrug

There are hundreds of things that could make your CE light go off. The only way to know for sure what is doing it is to get it scanned. Autozone will do it for free. I guess you will just have to pick a day and make some time!

you know its 100% possible that you got some bad gas, this happened to my friend about a month ago, he poured some stp injector cleaner in there and ran his tank down and then refilled and he was fine. But just make sure your gas cap was on tight first wink sometimes the fuel pump thinks theres a pressure problem if its not

Is there another place that does the system scans? Autozone is pretty far away for me.

I think any store like Pep Boys, Advance Auto or chains like that would do the scanning for you. I think WalMart also has a 20 dollar tester you could get if that is closer.
