I have the JBL with the CD player. I have a really nice Pioneer CD player with equilizer and stuff. I was wondering if there is any way to keep the ford Cd player and take out the radio/tape player and put in the pioneer unit? I want my equilizer and other functions with the Pioneer, but also the Ford Cd player. Or could i take out the cd player and use the pioneer with the radio? any info is cool thanks

so you want the cd player on the Pioneer, and the factory cd player.... 2 running? I really don't think that will work, plus if i'm right the OEM CD player gets all the "info" and power from the Stock head unit.

The only communication between the slave CD player and the head unit (besides the audio signal) is a signal from the CD player to the Tape deck to turn everthing else off and display CD. The audio output from the CD player is at a preamp lever so it need to be controled by some other source. If your Pioneer unit as some kind of AUX input it would be possable patch the factory slave CD player in.
