Modernizing? People using Bluetooth & USB sources instead?
My 2011 Non PP had a 6 disk, 2013 PP is single disk.I'm pretty sure my 2011 PP only has a single disc player.... Are you sure you're not thinking about a different vehicle with a 6 disc player?

I've tried putting all my mp3's on a usb, the car says it is not recognized. I've tried different size usb sticks, different file system formats...nothing works. Burning them onto a CD does work every single time. I wish my car had a 6 disk changer.
Oh, I think the difference in the 2010-2012 is Navigation versus non-navigation system vehicles. I suspect the non-nav has the 6-disc, with navigation is only a single disk plus a harddrive. My 2011 Non PP had a 6 disk, 2013 PP is single disk.

I am far from an expert on this and hopefully others can help. I have a 2010 MKS and a 2014 Taurus. USBs with loaded MP3s work great in both. I have ripped CDs and put on the USB and also downloaded albums and songs from Amazon and loaded them on the USB. I have never had an issue with it being unrecognized.
