I believe you can make the swap.
Non-PP to PP.
External components may be different, but the engine is the same.
Best of luck to you.

I believe the only difference on the engine itself between that year and the PP to non PP is the oil cooler. When I put the 2014 police interceptor engine in my 2010 I intentionally looked for the motor with the oil cooler. Only have to change out the lower radiator hose to run the motor with the oil cooler if you didnt have it before. I personally liked the engines without the plastic valve covers. Yes there were some baffling concerns on the early valve covers for the pcv system and burning some oil. But if you run a catch can I dont see it as something to worry about. Once you get into the 2013 motor territory then you would need to change the crank position sensor and its reference wheel to make it work with the 2010 wiring harness. Would also need to use your old ignition coils if you got a 2013 and newer engine as those newer coils also have a different connector. Here is the link to the thread for when I did the swap, might be worth a skim through: https://shoforum.com/threads/new-to-the-sho-fam-now-lets-rip-its-heart-out.146364/
