Cd Player Install???

Hey i'm tryin to install a aftermarket cd player in my car does anyone know how i can bypass the factory amp in it? Let me know.

i beleive if you get the install kit it comes with a bypass cable, you just plug it in in place of the amp in the trunk.

Metra makes (or used to, at least) the amp bypass cable that just plugs into the connectors in the trunk. I got mine off of circuit city's website. If you want a free alternative...dig around in your dash behind your stereo...there should be an unused connector back there. The wires lead straight to your speakers. Cut the end off, and you got your speaker connections right there.

This is true...except you dont need to cut the end off. The end is the standard connector from teh regular taurii. So if you buy the adapter kit (a power adapter and a speaker adapter...the black adapter and gray adapter) for an older/not as luxurious model ford, it plugs right in. This adapter kit has always been 10 bucks when I get it.

As mentioned before, this in turn does not power the sub...but in my opinion sounds better.
