Hello, I if anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate some help. I have the '91 JBL Premium Sound w/ factory 10disk CD Changer.

Sounded pretty good until one day the CD Changer just quit working. Actually, the player still has power, changes disks, and I can see the laser through the door. The controller still works completely like normal. The radio and tape player still work fine.

There is no sound from the changer to the radio though! Before when the radio was on (no matter what frequency) and I would turn the changer on the radio would go silent on the channel the changer was tuned for and other channels would get weak. Now NOTHING. When I power the changer on/off there is no difference and NO music comes in on the radio frequency it used to.

I've checked all the fuses, and unplugged and replugged the cables to the changer in the trunk. I've checked all the cables that I could get to, there's a small silver box under the dash w/ about 4 sets of wires (one to the controller, one to the changer, dunno about the other 2,) I've checked to see if anything is lose on.

Sigh. Am I missing something obvious? Is something just old and worn out? I don't feel like spending money at an audio shop, and I want to keep everything as stock as possible.

Thanx for any help you might have for me.
