I run the original RXP, not cheap but top of the line. More importantly it works as promised. Hidden under front wheel well so it is heat shrouded and condenses well. Put on because excessive condensation and oil in my tubes. Ford wanted 750 bucks to replace oil separator to newer version in passenger wall side valve cover. Not under warranty! I have a CPO car, it had 78000 when i complained, all the way to regional, no dice. I RXP was less then half the cost. Once set up it is great. Every oil change i dump the messy smelly oily water out of large condenser can. Very happy.

Nobody seems to take me serious when I say my cheap setup works well:
ebay catch can, sub $20
hacksaw
sharpie
epoxy
RTV
steel wool
right size hoses; from crankcase is larger than return
small amount of heat wrap
spring clamps
some brass fittings
some Brass Monkey

I drove the car off and on and would get about an ounce every month and a half or so, maybe more right after oil change, less over time. For a daily driver, probably an ounce per month. Somebody asked about a write-up recently and I said check my posts from a year or two ago, but considering it was part of a monstrously long and multi-subject thread, I can 't blame anybody for not digging through all the pages. I can pull it out and post here if you want.

Biggest course correction I'd make is cutting the can about 1-1/2" from bottom to allow full-length sealing of angle bar to inside of can and the ability to put all steel wool into the top large section (be sure to use large gauge steel wool). The 1-1/2" should also be enough to put in the piece of domed hardware cloth (concave-downward to keep steel wool up and away from accumulated fluid at bottom).
