I did a search, and didn't quite find what I was looking for.

I see a few people listing Hawk pads in thier signature, and unless I'm not paying attention I dont see Carbotech mentioned much.

Is anyone running these? I was thinking of getting the street pads from SHO Nut after I do the 96 upgrade, but I haven't really read anything about them. Are the Hawk pads better, or just cheaper?

Thanks

What are you needing the pads to do? Good street pad? Autocross? Open-Track?

I've got the Hawk HPS (High Performance Street) and I love them. Great stopping hot or cold, very very little dust (havent seen any buildup yet), and excellent heat characteristics. I'm very impressed.

I do not know much about the Carbotech pads, but I am sure someone will chime in with their suggestions.

I had Carbotech pads on the front of my 96 upgrade when I bought my car... It stopped very well, better than the current pads. I will soon be replacing my pads... I was thinking of the Carbotechs, but they aren't cheap... may go another route.

Josh had a set of the 598 Carbotechs sent to the convention for a buddy of mine and helped him install them and bleed his brakes.

8 months later, the car still stops amazing and his rear wheels actually have more brake dust than the front.

I want a good street pad, since I drive fairly aggresivly as it is, and I do plan on taking my car to Blackhawk Farms at least once this year since its only 20 minutes away.
Wheels dirty with brake dust are a big pet peave of mine, so the fact that they stay clean is a big selling point.
I agree that they are expensive, and wouldn't mind another route, but, I would also like some comparisons on the different pads.

I have Carbotechs all around on my car: Bobcats in front and F Streets in the rear. I've had them on for a little while and am so far happy with them. They do dust a little, but it is rather light and tolerable.
